A bus that ticks all the boxes. This bus has undergone one of the most extensive restorations we have ever seen having been subjected to an enormous amount of money, time, labour and components to get it to its current exceptional level of standard throughout.

Metal, Bodywork & Paint

This bus has undergone a full bare metal restoration. It benefits from many new panels being fitted including both the long & short side panels, lower front inner and outer valance, lower nose section, new cargo floors, inner and outer sills, the list goes on. Basically every single area of the bus when exposed that showed any signs of corrosion has been replaced.




The restoration was documented photographically. It can be seen to exactly what extent the metal work was prepared to before primer and paint application in original 1960s VW pastel colours. Full photographs and details are available on our website. The paint has been prepared to a very high standard throughout the bus including the underside which is in body coloured paint, showing off the extent to which this resto has been completed.



Mechanics

As with the structure and bodywork of the vehicle the mechanics have been treated with the same care and attention.




The suspension and steering have been fully overhauled and the bus benefits from a reconditioned 1641cc Twin Port Engine providing positive starting operation and a trademark soundtrack to your split screen adventures!




Uprated Buttys Bits throttle linkage has also been fitted and a Cat 6 tracker has been installed for additional security.




Refurbished original correct steel wheels, polished hub caps and four brand new whitewall tyres.




Interior

The bus has had a stunning custom interior designed and built by a professional joiner to offer period looking aesthetics whilst also featuring some modern-day comforts to help enhance your camping escapades.




The interior is inspired by the original Westfalia design with very close attention to detail. As you enter the cargo doors you have a unit with a 2/ 3 rear facing seating and a 1/ 3 high top section offering worktop space and housing a modern 12v camping fridge to keep your drinks and food cold on those hot summer days!

There is a bespoke pull-out draw with plentiful inserts for cutlery and loose items demonstrating the incredible craftsmanship of the joiner who built this, thinking of every detail to enhance organisation and improve your overall camping experience.




The interior also boasts a full width rock n roll bed, far superior to the ¾ width bed, that now offers you a bed that is more than wide enough to sleep two people comfortably.




The spare wheel is still in place in its original position and can be easily replaced with a matching cushion plug as not to compromise space whenever required. Original tool kit present. Van Cover comes with the bus also. Full sound insulation throughout entire bus has been meticulously installed to increase warmth and reduce noise.




Original Westfalia style yellow vinyl sits pleasantly within the colour palette of the green and white colour scheme. The chequered yellow, white & grey curtains further complete the comforting feel of the inside of this bus.




3 point seat belt harnesses retro fitted using original style Wolfsburg belts grey / chrome buckles.




Comes freshly serviced, road tested and with 12 months MOT, even though no longer required by law on a vehicle of this age for further peace of mind. (Picnic basket & other props separate to sale).
