1939 ALVIS CRESTED EAGLE RESTORATION PROJECT
NOTE: Cult Classics offer vehicles for sale in all conditions, this vehicle is listed under our Restoration Project section on our website. Please note, we are not selling individual parts, just the vehicle as a whole.
The car is a 3. 5 litre, 6 cylinder 25 HP Alvis Crested Eagle. The chassis is believed to have been made in 1937 and originally had a Charlesworth body, this was replaced in 1939 with the current Mayfair close coupled limousine body, believed to be 1 of just 9 left in the UK.
Despite being delivered to Messrs Parker LTD of Manchester on the 11th of March 1939, the Alvis wears a registration that dates from 1945, unfortunately we do not know what happened to it during the war years.
We do know that at some point it travelled to the Alps, as can be seen in the 3 lovely old photos.
Now, after 86 years, the Alvis does require a full mechanical and cosmetic restoration, or it could make a perfect candidate for a special, as the chassis appears to be in sound condition. It also has a chassis number and V5 document.
As with all our restoration projects, we have described this vehicle honestly and with transparency allowing you to make an informed decision.
We also highly recommend that you come and view the car, which can be done by appointment at our Tewkesbury HQ, Mon -Sat. Alternatively we can offer video calling and arrange nationwide delivery on your behalf with one of our trusted insured transport partners.
