Description
For sale is an Alvis Silver Eagle Sport Special from 1934. Originally equipped with a Cross-and-Ellis body, the car was rebuilt in the 1990s by the renowned Alvis specialist Chris Compton into the race car presented today. Compton has more than four decades of experience in the restoration, modification and rebuilding of pre-war Alvis models.
In 1998 the Alvis arrived in Germany; at that time the conversion was not yet fully complete. Within Germany it changed hands several times before finally passing to the current owner in 2009. In 2023 the restoration begun in the 1990s was resumed: the vehicle was completely dismantled and rebuilt from the ground up. All work is comprehensively documented.
Notably, the supercharged six-cylinder engine with a displacement of 2, 362 cm³, equipped with a compressor. The offered Alvis Silver Eagle Sport Special is ready to drive and has German road registration.
