In the 80's and 90's the British army used a lot of these 90" models , fitted with the 2. 5 NA diesel engine and 5 speed gearbox proving to be simple and reliable vehicles.
This one is a GS soft top model ( general service ) and was allocated to the Transport Motor Pool (TMP) at Longmoor in Hampshire . Later being cast and sold in 2001 at Blackbushe in Surrey .

When it was sold out of the army it had camouflage paintwork which was later stripped and repainted back to the Nato green colour it would have left the factory in .

The body panels are extremely straight without damage including very nice doors and the interior is also in great condition .

This Land Rover drives nicely when out on the road and the high and low gears work correctly .

The bulkhead on this Land Rover is very good as is the chassis which has previously been Waxoyled and the original chassis number can be easily seen on the front chassis leg .

The 5 tyres are the Goodyear G90 pattern as used by the army and these re in very good condition .

A drop plate and 50mm tow ball have been fitted to allow civilian trailers to be towed .

There is a folder with some service history , old MOT's , etc .

As always this one will go through our workshop where it will be fully serviced with safety and reliability in mind and it will also be submitted for a new MOT .
