A beautiful fast-back coupe of its time styled by Giorgetto Giugiaro. This is the very rare Alfetta GTS model with records showing there are only two left on the road in the UK.
This Alfa Romeo was bodily restored by its previous, previous owner before being purchased by its last custodian. You can see the work that has gone into the body as there is not a drop of rust or rot and it runs straight and true in all areas. The door shuts and pannel gaps are very good with doors sitting flush to the body. Alfa Romeo owners are aware this is the most expensive part of a restoration. The only bodily defect is a small crack in the paint on the bonnet where somebody has closed the bonnet onto a tool of some description. The latest custodian took the car on as a project which he faulted on due to having too many cars and not enough time.
The engine on this car runs strong and pulls as it should. There are receipts for piston rings, gaskets, clutch, brakes etc etc. The gearbox selects as it should and doesn’t make any noises. The car brakes straight and true. The car has just passed a 12 month mot with no advisories.
This is a useable car that would benefit from further fettling and cosmetic improvements by its new owner. The interior is all present but the roof lining is looking rather tired. The carpet although presentable would also lift the interior if replaced.
All in all a lovely car with the hard and most costly work done, that would benefit from the passion and time of its new owner. I have taken this in, in part exchange, and do not have the time or expertise to finish the car to the standard it deserves.
