Introduced ten years ago, BMW’s R NineT is a retro-styled roadster powered by the familiar air-cooled boxer twin in 1200cc form. This very low-mileage Pure variant in mineral grey was registered to its first and only keeper in mid-2021. It has subsequently been serviced on schedule at the supplying dealer and remains under warranty.
The bike was nicely optioned from new with an adaptive headlight, sports exhaust, comfort pack and a pair of Motorrad soft panniers. Unusually, it also features a dealer-fit rev-counter. A stylish and well-mannered bike with an adequate turn of speed when required, the R NineT is, in our view, a modern classic in the making.
