LOTUS SUPER 7 SERIES 3 1969 ORIGINAL LOTUS CAR WITH FACTORY CHASSIS FRAME/ ARCH MOTOR FRAME NO. & ORIGINAL CHASSIS PLATE RECOGNISED AND CONFIRMED HISTORY BY LOTUS 7 REGISTER**** SOLD****
This 7 just requires final assembly work and engine detailing to make it into a £30k+ car. Once completed this will be an original immaculate car, very easy to finish off. The car came to me with alloy front and rear wings which to me looked odd on the car as it should have fibreglass front and rear wings and nose cone. When I removed the wings I noticed the side skins, rear panel and floor had deteriorated and the only way forward as far as I was concerned was to fit new alloy Arch Motor side skins, rear panel, floor skins, foot box and correct GT bonnet (as car had been converted to side draft Webbers and bonnet was modified badly and the only rectification for this was to fit a new bonnet and convert back to factory original 1600 down draught) and to keep a cohesive look to the car new skuttle (I have kept some skins as patterns). I also have an original down draught fibreglass scoop for the GT bonnet. Majority of the alloy work has been superbly carried out by Arch Motor who were the original manufacturer of the chassis and alloy skins.
We have checked the chassis frame and any defects or paint flakes were rectified as necessary. The chassis frame is now in very good condition especially with the new skins.
All mechanical parts on the car have either been refurbished or reconditioned as necessary as the car had a MOT and was a driving vehicle.
The car is complete and has original instruments, seats, side screens, hood and tonneau cover, seatbelts, front screen etc.
Rare vehicle as approximately 350 Lotus 7 Series 3's made. Comes with a comprehensive history of all owners from new.
The car was originally sold by Lotus/ Caterham Cars to the first owner who registered the car in Hertfordshire and I have a certified copy of the entry from Hertfordshire Registration Office, showing registration no: GNK 110G.
