Lot 26
1975 Honda MT250 K1 Elsinore
Registration no. JDK 417N
Frame no. MTthe details below
Engine no. MT250E-2009881
The MT250 was first launched in late 1973 to be available to the public for the 1974 sales year, with it being mainly based off of the CR Moto Cross motorcycles that Honda has developed and used with great success. The earlier models sporting the chrome plated heat shield with the later versions having a black heat shield. The engines were softer tuned than their CR equivalents but it gave Honda a good standing offering them to the public and using on the road as well as off road with these Honda's now taking on a reputation for being versatile and ahead of their time.
This restored example of the MT was originally sold to the American market in 1975, and subsequently imported to the UK in 2016. Purchased by our vendor shortly after its arrival, the process of registering it in the UK was finalised and the MT was used sparingly and then stored. Accordingly, it will now require recommissioning before returning to the road (the engine does turn over). Offered with a V5C, VJMC dating letter and NOVA paperwork.
