Sometimes we have these elegant and unique pearls in our collection. This Bentley MK VI is undoubtedly such a pearl. This is not only due to the sublime condition of this classic saloon. This Bentley MK VI with chassis number B184NZ, delivered in 1952, is one of the last examples produced of this model and is equipped with the 4. 6 litre petrol engine. Only 1201 examples of this last model were built, making this Bentley MK VI very rare. The car arrived in the Netherlands in 1963 and much of the history (including a copy of the build sheet) has been retained with the car. The car was fully restored between 2006 and 2008 and a photo report is of course available. During this restoration, the engine block was also fully and professionally overhauled. However, the latest owner has taken this beautiful Bentley MK VI to an even higher level of quality. Various additional restoration works were carried out in 2017 and the car also received its current two-tone colour combination of 'Belco Black' with 'Tudor-Grey'. The gold coach line has also been applied to the entire side and hubcaps. Of course, a photo report is also available here. And what's also worth mentioning is that the last owner took great care to complete the tool kit (in the engine compartment, near the spare wheel and in the dashboard) with original tools. Even the very rare original screwdriver (with bakelite handle) is present. Rarely has there been such a carefully documented history with such a beautiful car. This Bentley MK VI is truly in sublime condition. It is not without reason that this car won first prize in 2019 at British Automobile Days (post-war classic category) in St. Oedenrode. The bodywork is in exceptionally beautiful condition and the body colours 'Belco Black' and 'Tudor Grey' have a lovely deep sheen. Of course, the body parts also fit very well and the doors close properly and securely. The various chrome parts and trim are also still in very good condition (largely perfect). The same is true of the interior. The brown leather upholstery (brown hide with brown piping, code VM3199) is in very good condition indeed. Here too, you can see that the car has been professionally restored while retaining as much originality as possible. The seats and rear bench are very comfortable and you can enjoy the opulence of the 1950s. All the woodwork (including the folding tables in the chairs) is still in very fresh and perfect condition. Of course, this also applies to the expertly lacquered wood dashboard. A glance under the bonnet is enough to see that this car has been maintained with great care and love. This is also reflected in the numerous service invoices present. As already mentioned, the tool kit in the engine compartment is also complete and comprehensive. The engine runs very well and is very quiet and driving this Bentley MK VI is actually a very comfortable journey. It is not without reason that this car is known as the best performing MK VI in the Netherlands within the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts Club and the Bentley Drivers Club. The gearbox shifts very smoothly and gently and the brakes are equally good and firm. We can rightly say that this Bentley MK VI is a real gem in our collection.
