HERE at Martin Howey Classics (Est 26 years), we don't pretend to sell the best vehicles. Neither do we claim to sell the most expensive nor the cheapest. But what we do believe in is that we probably sell the best value for money classics in today's market place. Someone might want to spend more on their "mint vehicle." Go elsewhere. Others regularly want my vehicles for knock down prices. Once again, go elsewhere. And when you arrive there, you will realise that I had the "Best value for money" in the first place. So many do just that. Then, by the time they get back to me, the car in question has sold!
So, on with today's offering. It is a 1964 Austin Mini Super Deluxe which has returned to me this week from a regular customer who loves to buy, tinker, enjoy and then try his hand at something else. He has thoroughly enjoyed this for a couple of years. And, although it was a most pleasing example when he bought this Mark 1 Mini, it is even better now.
The Super deluxe model was a step up from the basic (obviously) and featured over riders plus corner bars on front and rear bumpers, opening rear windows and the iconic eye-shaped dash pod with temp. and oil gauges at either side of the central speedo. It was, as they all were at this stage, an 850cc. Being a 1964 model, it still came with magic wand gear lever and the starter button on the floor.
She is a delightful example in Maroon with Satin Beige interior. Great panels, very nice paint work, good chrome and a solid underside. This has been improved by the last owner's attention to detail in as much as he has replaced the front floor pans and inner sills. She drives beautifully and is on the button (starter button!) and ready to go!
As I say, you will struggle to find better for the money.

I don't sell "second hand" cars; I sell extremely old vehicles which are, in the main, motoring antiques. Viewing is always encouraged so that you can see what you are getting. Your opinion and expectations may vary from mine. Then again, you could be in total agreement as the majority of my customers have been for the past 26 years. At the moment, the youngest vehicle in stock is 33-years-old and the oldest is 90!
Thanks, Martin.
