Here, we have a fabulous example of a fast road or potential road rally TR4!
This vehicle was first supplied new to Switzerland in 1963 before being repatriated in the early 1990s.
The specifications of this car are just wonderful. Most recently, it received a full body restoration and colour change into Aston Martin Pearlescent blue metallic contrasted with the original red steel Surrey top.
Mechanically, the car is in very fine condition with a very strong 89mm 2. 2L TR Enterprises built engine, which is lightened and balanced and produces just over 150BHP as per the dyno printout with the car. The gearbox does exactly as it should, with overdrive selectable on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears, which works through a logic box. The interior is fitted with comfortable rally style seats and harnesses and is fitted with auxiliary switches to operate the later added equipment such as the spotlights, electric cooling fan, electric cut off and a fuel pump cut off too.
The car is great to drive, instilling confidence when driving from all aspects of the experience while also being an eyeful to look at. With the bumpers removed and the fitment of an Ally sump guard, spotlights and Minilite wheels, together with its one-off body colour, it does stand out from the crowd!
