Description

Model History: The last model in the XK line, Jaguar produced the XK150 from 1957 to 1961. Mechanically little different from the previous models, it was the first Jaguar to be fitted with disc brakes as standard. The car's profile was softened and the windscreen was now in a single curved plane, like the rear window of the coupé. Disc brakes were first fitted to the Jaguar D-Type at Le Mans in 1954. The steering was rack-and-pinion, as on the 140, and the engine was still the 3. 4-litre 190 bhp unit. Initially launched as a coupé and a cabriolet, the 150 saw the arrival of a roadster in 1958. More than an evolution, the 150 is a modern car that meets the demands of today's market. The XK heritage represents much more than these production figures. The range established Jaguar as a sports car producer that mattered. Successes on European and especially American tracks confirmed the Jaguar legend that was being written at Le Mans with five victories for the Jaguar C-Type and Jaguar D-Type in seven years. History of this Jaguar XK150 convertible: Mr Eckrich bought this car new in 1959, then Mr Willson acquired it in 1967. It changed hands in 1978 without being registered. A German bought it in the 2010s and fully restored it in Germany. In 2021, this Jaguar, now as good as new, was purchased by its last owner, a Frenchman. Body: The car has an excellent, very sound body and a new chassis, fully restored in Germany and finished in 2021. The door and bonnet adjustments are perfect, as is the lower body line. Upholstery: The red leather upholstery is in excellent condition and has also been fully restored.
The soft-top frame is sound, and the canvas and headlining are perfectly clean. Engine: Engine rebuilt in our workshops in 2022 and freshly run-in. Gearbox: Tremec 5-speed gearbox, operating smoothly and correctly, with 5th gear providing great comfort on the motorway. Running gear: The rear axle is stable, with very good road-holding. The chassis behaves perfectly. There is no play or noise. The suspension is perfect. Brakes: Braking is perfect and in a straight line, equipped with 4 original disc brakes with power assistance for perfect braking. Options: - Wooden dashboard - Wooden steering wheel - Electric power steering - Additional fan Selling price: €175, 000
