Model History: Presented at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show, the Lamborghini 400GT 2+2 was positioned as a more family-oriented model, with a more spacious and comfortable cabin and two rear seats. This new version was distinguished by its twin headlamps, as Lamborghini quickly wanted to conquer the world's biggest market: America. More accomplished and better built, this version sold 247 units until 1968. The bodywork was still made by Touring, but a new in-house 5-speed gearbox replaced the ZF, allowing Lamborghini to set itself apart from the competition.
