Speedbroker are delighted to bring to the market this stunning Jaguar XK150S 3. 8L Drophead Coupe, a beautiful classic, first registered in 1959.
The XK150 was the final incarnation of the XK road series of cars with the ‘S’ being the flagship model. With its 3. 8l engine and limited slip diff it may have evolved into a large luxurious tourer, however, still had genuine performance credentials, with this example in our opinion being the finest available.
Exuding luxury, comfort, and sophistication the XK150 first became available in 1959 and was offered either as standard or as an S model. The latter boasted 265BHP, an overdrive gearbox as standard, and in magazine road tests reached 130mph, a fantastic feat for a vehicle of its time.
The XK150S is a true testament to the excellent level of craftsmanship, a sleek British racing green exterior, with indulgent interior finishes. This particular model offered for sale was supplied new to Rossleigh in Edinburgh and is one of only 69 right-hand drive 3. 8l examples ever made. It has been carefully and expertly fully restored with its original colour scheme, from the ground up over an 8 year period. Restoration was commissioned by the previous custodian (who owned the car for more than 40 years), with the work being carried out by those who are considered to be some of the best in their field.
