Mitsubishi 3000 GT 3. 0 V6 1993 - Car in excellent condition, completely original - The 3000 GT was presented to the public in 1990 . It is also one of the most mythical models produced by Mitsubishi , front-engined sports car , all-wheel drive . The late 1980s and early 1990s were a golden era for Japanese cars and it was designed to be the company's flagship model and rival the sports cars from Nissan (GTR) , Honda (NSX), Toyota (Supra) and Mazda (RX7). In order to develop new technologies for the future 3000GT model, Mitsubishi began working on a series of prototypes and concept cars in the mid-1980s. The Mitsubishi HSR (Highly Sophisticated-transport Research), the first HSR, was presented by the company in 1987. This prototype featured Mitsubishi's innovative integrated electronic systems that controlled the traction system, steering, brakes, suspension and much more. The second HSR concept, unveiled in 1989, centred heavily on active aerodynamics that could alter the vehicle's drag coefficient. Many of the technologies found in the HSR-II were also found in the Mitsubishi HSX, the precursor to the 3000GT. The aim of the model was not only to outperform its competitors, but also to completely overhaul the chassis system at the time and for a distinctive design collaborated with Chrysler's Highland Park International Design Studio to create a much more aggressive vehicle. The car featured a series of air intakes, scoops, ducts and power bulges that made it one of the most impressive cars to come out of Japan at the time. To power such an impressive-looking car, Mitsubishi decided to use a naturally aspirated 3. 0-litre 24-valve DOHC V6 engine.
