In 1996, after more than 20 years, the XJ-S was replaced by the XK as Jaguar's flagship model. The sports coupé was equipped with the new aluminium 4. 0 litre V8, internal designation AJ-26. The ultra-modern unit with 4 overhead camshafts was Jaguar's first series-produced V8 and a real bestseller right from the start. This engine was characterised by smooth running and good throttle response.
This XK8 was delivered new to Zurich. Most of the servicing was carried out by the Jaguar dealership Emil Frey. The car is mechanically in very good condition and is easy to drive. The V8 runs perfectly, the automatic shifts smoothly. Visually, there are a few signs of use and age in the interior. The bodywork was repainted a few years ago. All in all, the Jaguar is in top condition and can pass the MOT with little effort. The car is sold as it is, last MOT 05. 2018.
