1955 Triumph TR2, reg. no. TAS 306, chassis no. TS5417. Same enthusiast owner for 23 years and full engine overhaul in 2016 (only 5, 000 miles since)
This delightful TR2 is finished in Signal Red with red hide upholstery. It has been owned by the vendor who is a great enthusiast since 2001, during which time it has been lovingly maintained and rallied, including driving events such as the Le Mans Classic, a trip to the South of France, Goodwood, Prescott and Silverstone. During his ownership the car has had a full respray, an engine rebuild by Anglia Triumph Services in 2016 (invoice for £2, 340. 95 and only 5, 000 miles since), rebuilt SU carbs, new triple core radiator and other improvements including a major review by Bridge Classic Cars in 2022 (invoice for £2, 976. 44) with little mileage since.
It is supplied with a large history file of invoices, early history including a purchase receipt dated 1960 for £325, old MOTs, V5 document. A very pleasing and lovingly maintained example which is only being sold due to the owners advancing years. (Subject to 12% buyers' premium inclusive of VAT).
