French motorbike - Matching Numbers. Chassis and engine number: 55 940. 1954 production numbers range from 44135 to 56697 for the period from September 1953 to August 1954. This beautiful English motorcycle straight out of the fifties is in very good condition and has a superb patina. Restored at the end of the last century by its former owner, it has since travelled the roads of Lorraine at every opportunity.
(Just under 10, 000 km have been covered) The bike has always been regularly serviced, and numerous invoices attest to the care taken in its technical follow-up: * The cylinder head has been reconditioned with new guides, seats and valves; * The connecting rod assembly has been checked and no defects found; * A new oil pump has been fitted for safety reasons.
* The liners are the original size and new pistons and rings were fitted at the same time. The magneto/ dynamo assembly has also been reconditioned and is in perfect working order.
