HISTORY:
Bruce Greetham at Classic Benz is delighted to be offering this beautiful R107 300 SL. The first owner purchased in 1988 and kept it for 20 years. During that time, it was serviced and taken very good care off. Sold then to another family owner for a short period, the V5 shows a total of 6 previous owners, two being from the same family.
The current owner has enjoyed this 300SL since 2015, lavishing some £15, 000, with everything being addressed when required - bushes, radiator, fluids, filters, prop-shaftcouplings, correct Michelin tyres.
This care shows when you turn the key and this SL fires up into action without any hesitation.
I have inspected the bulkhead and can confirm all is original, with no welding and still retaining its original spot-welds.
It was serviced last in October 2024, combined with a new MOT.
I have road-tested this 300SL and can confirm that this is a super-sharp vehicle – it changes gear smoothly and pulls up correctly with its all-round powerful disc brakes. Sitting inside on the lovely Heritage sports-check seats, seeing the beautiful shiny wood console, and with thecrisp decals to the switches, evidences a well-kept 300 SL.
A nice feature is the period Becker Grand Prix radio/ cassette - just ready for these 80’s classics.

Many R107s can take a beating and still drive fine. However, this 300SL has just the right mileage; it is crisp, sorted and well-maintained, so it can be used with absolute confidence.
