This R42 provides a solid foundation for a manageable restoration. A considerable amount of preparatory work has already been completed. Some reproduction parts were used for the completion.
- The ignition magneto was completely overhauled, converted to electronic regulator
- Cylinders were bushed and returned to their original dimensions after honing
- The crankshaft was overhauled, and the connecting rods were remade
- The frame was already restored
- Many parts were reconditioned and nickel-plated.
What makes this project special: The main parts of the bike are original (engine, gearbox, frame, fork, fuel tank). The original type plate matches the frame and engine numbers. The transmission, engine serial numbers, and crankshaft serial numbers all match. The engine, transmission and frame in this configuration correspond to the factory delivery. Pictures of the found condition before the restoration are available.
The motorcycle can be fully restored upon customer request.
