Built by the renowned Italian manufacturers Agostini Auto of Ravenna, Italy. Constructors of 1-1. 5 scale Italian exotic child’s cars.
Built on a tubular steel structure and powered by a mid-mounted 4-stroke 300cc petrol engine, by Briggs and Stratton, fitted with automatic transmission plus reverse gear. Faithfully proportioned the body, fabricated in Kevlar re-enforced glass fibre (Vetrorosina), faithfully reproduces the much-admired Ferrari 308 GTS, Leonardo Fioravanti / Pinin Farina design.
Finished in Rosso Corsa, the interior is trimmed in Black hide with grey carpeting and is fitted with a period Momo leather trimmed steering wheel.
Manufactured with independent front and rear suspension with hydraulic damping, hydraulically operated disc brakes, electric starting and lighting equipment, this exquisite example of the ultimate child sized 1-1. 5 scale 308 GTS, is in full working order and has been kept in excellent condition by its previous owners, including at one time being owned and shown by the renowned Patrick collection, at the former Patrick Motor Museum in Birmingham.
Number 20 of a limited production run, this highly detailed and faithful 1 -1. 5 scale car, with opening doors, engine cover and bonnet, has been road tested by our own resident tester on private roads, who confirms the spirited performance and fully functioning condition of this collector’s item. An ideal addition to any Ferrari or exotic car collection and a potential front runner in competitive Junior car events, by virtue of weighing just 300 Kg’s and being powered by a spirited 11 hp petrol engine.
Undoubtedly produced as a labour of love from the Italian manufacturers Agostini Auto’s, shortly after producing this exceptionally detailed GTS, Agostini introduced into production a considerably less detailed and less expensive product, which should not be confused with this earlier, highly detailed and hand crafted 1 1. 5 scale facsimile, bearing an astonishingly detailed likeness to the hugely successful line of Ferrari 308 GTB/ S sports cars.
