## About this Ferrari 308 After 20 years of exclusive collaboration with Pininfarina, Ferrari unveiled the ** Dino 308 GT4** at the Paris Motor Show in ** October 1973** marking a massive shift for Ferrari, as this was the first production model from Maranello to feature ** Bertone** styling rather than traditional Pininfarina bodywork. The Turin-based designer created an attractive mid-engined 2+2 V8 in a body that was little more than 4. 3 metres long and it was sold with ** Dino** badging until May 1976, when they received Ferrari badging. It was the first production Ferrari to feature the rear mid-engined V8 layout that would become the bulk of the company's business in the succeeding decades. The styling featured angular lines entirely different from its curvaceous 2-seater brother, the Dino 246, and was controversial at the time. Some journalists compared it to the Bertone-designed Lancia Stratos and Lamborghini Urraco, also penned by Marcello Gandini. From the cockpit the driver sees only the road. It has perfect 360 degree visibility, no blind spots, upright and comfortable seating position, a real trunk, a back seat for soft luggage, and very easy engine access. Enzo Ferrari himself took a major role in its design, even having a mock-up made where he could sit in the car to test different steering, pedals and cockpit seating positioning. It should be noted that the Dino 308 GT4 was the only Ferrari legally imported to the USA in 1975, and it was also the year Niki Lauda won the Formula One drivers championship and Ferrari won the constructors title. The GT4 was also the only 2+2 Ferrari ever raced with factory support. It was eventually replaced by the Ferrari Mondial after a production run of ** 2, 826** had been produced. This lovely ** Ferrari 308 GT4 Dino** Chassis No:** F106ALA12796** and Engine No:** F106A02101782** is a '** Matching Numbers** ' and 'Ferrari' badged car, and is ** 1** of only ** 547** RHD cars built during the 7-year production run and believed to be one of just ** 89** cars built in 1977, making it especially rare. Supplied new by Ferrari Concessionaires ** Maranello Ltd** in Egham and first Registered on ** 18th January 1977** to a Mrs J Fry of Bramley, near Guildford, this original right-hand-drive Dino is finished in its factory-correct Rosso Corsa with a Crema half-hide leather interior, Black carpets, very rare manual Sunroof, original Momo leather steering wheel, Blaupunkt period radio with electric aerial, electric windows, Air-conditioning, 14" Cromodora Alloy Wheels with Bridgestone Tyres, 2, 962cc V8 engine producing approximately 251 bhp, a 5-speed Manual Gearbox with a mid-engine rear-wheel-drive layout giving a 0-60 mph time of about 5. 2 seconds and top speed of 155mph. It comes with a full and exceptionally comprehensive service history from new with early maintenance by Maranello (first 8 stamps), before it was sold and exported to Cyprus in 2006, where it remained for 15 years. It was regularly serviced abroad, including timely cam belt replacements every 3 years and was serviced by official Ferrari dealer ** Moto Trend Ltd** in Nicosia. The owner re-imported the car to the UK in 2021 and after 16 years of ownership, he decided it was time to let it go to a new owner and we sold the car for him in July 2022 to a prominent London-based collector, but due to a change in circumstances, it is now available once again! The car was professionally tuned by Ferrari specialist ** Carl Verdi** , last year ensuring it drives beautifully and sounds fantastic — delivering the unmistakable V8 character that defines the Dino 308 GT4. The history file is contained a ring binder which is full of service and repair invoices, MOT certificates, full ownership history, sales invoices and correspondence, various magazine articles, Ferrari Owners Club paperwork, photographs and its original Ferrari Owners Manual and Service Book. The car also comes with a clear HPI / Provenance check and its original equipment also includes an unused space-saver spare wheel, Tool kit, jack, bulb kit, and warning triangle and two spare original keys! This is a very well-preserved and honest example with a documented ** 85, 550** miles from new. Its originality is rare, and it remains in excellent mechanical condition and the bodywork and paintwork is also very nice, with the perhaps the only criticism on the inside being the drivers seat cover which needs attention. Upon sale, the car will be given a new MOT and a 55-point pre-delivery inspection and it will come with standard 6-month Mechanical Breakdown Warranty which is extendable and upgradeable at additional cost if required. Rare, elegant, and increasingly collectible, the Ferrari 308 GT4 Dino is often underrated — but interest has grown rapidly in recent years and is a highly rewarding classic that’s as enjoyable to drive as it is to own. ** On display at our showrooms in Mortlake, South West London.** ** NB:** Classic Chrome Ltd make every effort to ensure that...
