Description
Rover P5 3. 0, 6-cylinder engine, manual gearbox + overdrive, in very good working order and presentation, chrome, upholstery, woodwork in excellent condition, body paint in very good condition but not concours (a small chip on the bonnet). This is a very quiet and comfortable car, power steering, all controls are smooth, bodywork and underpinnings sound.
Restart and general overhaul (brakes, ignition, carburetion, etc., all fluids re-monitored since) are now 5 years old. The brakes have been thoroughly overhauled (calipers, seals, discs at the front, linings + handbrake mechanism at the rear). Carburetion: complete cleaning + complete burlen overhaul kit) Ignition: wiring harness, coil, igniter finger and head, capacitor. I had bought an identical electronic ignition, never fitted as it works fine this way. Will be left with the car.
Its faults: -The clutch has been replaced but the mechanism has not been adjusted, resulting in an unpleasant vibration in 1st gear and reverse; I have found an original mechanism + complete clutch disc which will also be left with the car -The speedo needle is capricious (Everything is OK or then jumps) - Roof aerial seal to be replaced - A corner of the windscreen has a chip: I'm supplying another windscreen It's a nice model, not a competition car but very well presented, with a few things to be finalised to make it a very nice model.
