Description
For sale: this beautiful civilian version of the Volkswagen Kübel. The car was delivered new to Pon Netherlands, Volkswagen's official importer in the Netherlands, where it was used as a demonstration vehicle (show car). After being used as a demonstration car, it was transferred to the next owner: Pon's main salesman. This man enjoyed the car for many years. He also owned a house in Italy and wanted to register the car there, but as this proved too complicated, he finally decided to leave it in his garage.
But as this proved too complicated, he eventually decided to leave it in his garage. From time to time, it was parked outside in a field. On a motorbike trip to Italy, a Dutchman spotted the car in the field and asked the owner if it was for sale.
He was lucky: he was able to buy it. The last owner bought the car in 1980 and brought it back to the Netherlands, where it was completely restored. Due to health problems, he had to part with it. We now have this exceptional car at Kieftenklok.
