This magnificent reconstruction of a Delahaye 135MS began life as a Delahaye 148L. This was the basis for creating a beautiful rally and race car with a racer look from the 30's and 40's. The chassis has been given a completely new body and aluminium wings. Thanks to this lightweight bodywork, the car performs extremely well. The original 3. 6-litre engine has been retained and completely rebuilt. 3 Solex carburettors are in place to add power. The 4-speed gearbox works well and is well spaced to get the car up to speed. All four wheels are stopped by large ventilated aluminium brake drums that are hydraulically operated. A set of spoked wheels, matching the French blue body colour, is fitted with new 17-inch Firestone tyres. An additional oil cooler and extra air vents in the front bonnet help to keep the engine cool at all times. The car's interior is very sober, with classic black leather seats and carpets. The dashboard features white dials and a black steering wheel. Behind the seat is a boot compartment below the fuel tank. A dual fuel filler system with chrome caps has been fitted, along with a simple aero-screen to offer minimal protection to the driver. The bodywork is very restrained, with great attention paid to curves, giving the car a very elegant look. The blue bodywork and blue wheels make this car a real eye catcher. MECANICIMPORT. To power the car the original engine of 3. 6L has been kept and fully rebuild. 3 Solex carburetors are set in place to add some power. A set of new wire wheels that were matched in the French Bleu body paint colour are fitted with new Firestone 17" tyres. An additional oil cooler and extra air openers in the front hood are helping to keep the engine cool in any circumstances. The interior of the car is very sober with a classic black leather seat and carpets. The dashboard accepts some white dial gauges and a black steering wheel. Behind the seat is a trunk compartment located with underneath the location of the fuel tank. A twin fuel filler system with chrome caps has been fitted as well as a single aero screen to give a minimal protection to the driver. The body is very sober and has great attention for curves with makes the car look very slick. The all blue body with blue wheels makes this car a real eye-catcher.
