Jaguar D-Type by Realm (RAM). This tubular steel chassis with fibreglass bodywork is one of the finest recreations of the D-Type. RAM designed the car well from the outset as it has been praised by many of the personalities such as Sir Jack Brabham, Sir Stirling Moss and others who have owned and driven original models. This particular example is in very good condition and comes in its most classic colour combination, 'British racing green' with a green leather interior. All of the car's mechanical components come from Jaguar. The engine is the famous 3. 8L - straight six, which is coupled to its 4-speed gearbox. The engine is fitted with 3 SU carburettors, giving it a smooth ride and a pleasant sound. An aluminium radiator has been fitted to keep everything cool. The front suspension is adjustable, as is the rear axle. The rear axle is also from Jaguar, with its traditional internal brake disc system. At the front, you'll also find disc brakes that allow you to stop once you're up to speed.
Settling into the car will transport you straight back to the 50s. The cabin is a real tribute to that era, with its wooden steering wheel, Smith gauges, etc. To ensure your safety, a pair of Sparco harnesses has also been added. On the outside, the car retains all the charm of the original, with its Dunlop wheels, stainless steel exhaust and leather straps on the bonnet. If you're going for a solo drive, the passenger side can be covered by a hard bonnet, adding an even more elegant touch to the overall package. As far as registration documents are concerned, it is currently registered in Belgium and has a specific Belgian authorisation for roadworthiness testing. So it's certain that you'll be able to enjoy this car without any problems for years to come here in Belgium.
