Here at RFH Classics we are pleased to welcome back this highly sought after 2010 (10) MG TF 85th Anniversary Edition Roadster finished in the rare Ice White Pearl complete with a stunning Aubergine Leather interior. We had the pleasure of supplying this car to the last owner earlier this year but following a change of direction his personal circumstances car is now back with us having only covered around 800 miles since it was sold. This limited production model was created to celebrate 85 years of MG Heritage and features a host of exclusive upgrades that set it apart from the standard TF. With an exceptionally low mileage of just 14, 900 miles, this example is offered in superb condition and represents a fantastic opportunity for MG enthusiasts and collectors alike.
This MG TF 85th Anniversary Edition was limited to just 50 cars produced for the UK market, of which only 17 were made in the Ice White. As a Special Edition the car featured the distinctive 85th Anniversary graphics, exclusive 'Twist of Pepper' 16-inch Alloy wheels along with a revised Sports Suspension setup by Eibach that delivered a sharper and more refined driving experience. Specification for the 85th Anniversary saw the car being equipped with Air Conditioning, Factory Wind Deflector, Electric Windows and Remote Central Locking helping to make it both comfortable and stylish. Inside the beautifully finished Aubergine Leather interior is complemented by contrast stitching adding to its premium feel. This car has been fitted with an aftermarket stereo that also features a very handy reverse camera.
Under the bonnet of the 85th Anniversary saw a major upgrade with the introduction of the much improved N Series 1. 8 16v engine that was only fitted to this model. Developed as a refined evolution of the earlier K Series it retained the K Series lightweight alloy construction and responsive performance but it addressed the predecessor’s well known head gasket issues with a redesigned, multi-layer steel gasket, strengthened oil rail and improved cooling flow. These enhancements brought increased reliability and smoother operation making the N Series a far more robust and confidence-inspiring powerplant. In the TF 85th Anniversary, it delivers lively, characterful performance that complements the car’s sharpened chassis and celebratory styling.
The MG TF 85th Anniversary Edition was the final and most refined version celebrating the marque’s long and successful history. With upgraded AP Racing brakes, a revised Chassis setup and then finished off with the unique exterior styling package, this Special Edition will definitely stand out to be a true collector’s piece. This is possibly one of the lowest mileage MG TF 85th Anniversary Editions available on the market today and gives a collector the chance to own a modern classic that delivers open top driving enjoyment with a strong connection to MG’s rich sporting heritage.
