THE GT500CR

Ford's Mustang is a legend in the muscle car sphere, with the GT500CR holding a special place in the lineup. Created as a highly desirable rendition of the famous "Eleanor" Mustang from the 2000 movie Gone in 60 Seconds, the GT500CR brings together the enchanting allure of vintage muscle with the advanced underpinnings of modern engineering. Featuring a blend of historical authenticity and modern muscle, the GT500CR is a testament to the spirit of American mechanical artistry, alluring car collectors and enthusiasts alike with its mythical appeal.

THE CAR OFFERED

The 1967 Ford Mustang GT500CR offered here is more than a custom car — it's an exquisite reinterpretation of the iconic Eleanor. Completed June 28, 2021, by Classic Recreations, the Mustang was meticulously modified according to the GT500CR 545 package, transforming a 67 Mustang Fastback into a modern masterpiece.

The heart of this beast, a 427ci Ford Racing V8 engine, roars with a mighty 545 horsepower, equipped with Holley fuel injection, BBK headers, and a Concept One pulley system. A five-speed manual transmission is linked to this beast of an engine, ensuring absolute control over the car's raw power.

The Mustang's body is a work of art itself, rendered in carbon fiber by SpeedKore and painted in a sleek Gray with Exposed Carbon-Fiber Stripe - a captivating standout from traditional Mustang finishes that helps this 'stang weigh 600lbs less than a stock GT500. The interior isn't left behind, boasting a revamped space with black leather SCAT seats, a stout roll bar, and fitted air conditioning, making this cruiser as comfortable as it is potent.

Notable upgrades to the suspension include a Mustang II front end, adjustable coilovers, and front and rear sway bars, enhancing its performance and stability on the road. The car rides on stylish 18" Halibrand-look wheels, giving it the quintessential muscle car stance. The stopping power comes from Wilwood disc brakes at all four corners, providing the safety necessary for such a powerful machine.

The vehicle is accompanied by a detailed exhibit demonstrating the specifications and modifications made to this unique Mustang, including its drivetrain, steering, interior, stereo system, and wheels. The documentation dated August 5, 2019, forms part of a purchase and sales agreement, giving insight into the depth and quality of the modifications implemented by Classic Recreations. Since completion, fewer than 700 miles have been driven.

This is not just a car. It is a reimagining of a legend, embodying the soul of the original Eleanor while surpassing it in power, performance, and comfort. The 1967 Ford Mustang GT500CR is a driver's dream, a unique embodiment of American muscle, history, and modern engineering.
