This fully restored DB5 stands before you finished in Silver Birch over Red Leather. Probably the most popular combination for the DB5.
She started life in Dublin having been delivered to W B Crawford the Aston dealer in Ireland at that time. Finished in Sierra Blue over Grey Connolly Leather. Equipped with Chrome Wheels, Motorola Radio, Dunlop Tyres and Tripple SU Carburettors.
The history file shows she changed hands in 1979 for £3, 500! There are many receipts for her life through the 80’s and 90’s with many hand written invoices from Aston Service Dorset. At some point very early in her life the original engine had to be replaced.
Fast forward to 2015 and after many years in storage our DB5 was desperate for a full restoration. She was sold to the current owner and vendor who instructed a nut and bolt restoration that took three years. At his request the colour was changed to Silver Birch and the leather trimmed in Red. The engine was also upgraded to 4. 2 Litre specification and power steering installed. The restoration cost in the region of £350, 000 GBP.
