A truly stunning 23 window Samba fitted with a 2400cc type 4 motor with DTM shroud fitted by Wolfsburg and stated as 160hp mated to a 421 IRS box fully rebuilt by Cogbox. To assist the driveline it has Porsche 944 front brakes, transverse link rear axle, KYB suspension and an IRS rear end. Extensive restoration works carried out by Airwerx in 2001, incredibly well kept since it is solid as a rock throughout and hard to find fault with! Finished in Rik Razor Brown over Deep Red with US spec front & tail lights lights and Creative Engineering safari windows. Inside has been treated to a stunning biscuit interior with Autometer instruments, Moto-Lita steering wheel and Hurst shifter. A magazine feature in 'VW Scene' tells a great story of the car, notably that the original 1200cc motor covered almost 300, 000 miles at the hands of it's 81 year old owner!
