Delivered to its first owner a Mr Pearce on 3rd May 1978 this original right hand drive GTS example has been looked after by various specialists throughout its life and has had six owners from new. The last private keeper owned the Ferrari for some 23 years! Maintained throughout his ownership by Ferrari Specialists Neil Lucas Sports Cars and Moto Technique and previously in 1987 the Ferrari was treated to an extensive bare metal respray by Classic Cars Lilley in Bedfordshire from its original yellow to the Rosso Corsa coachwork it wears today. Presented in good order the paintwork retains a deep shine but shows some age-related blemishes as one would expect. The interior is also in good condition but is showing some minor wear and tear, notably a small tear to the piping of the drivers seat and a missing surround to the window switch as photographed, however its general condition is in line with a car of its age. The Ferrari is fitted with an upgraded exhaust system which makes for a fantastic noise when on song. Also fitted with ‘GTO’ style wheels and its originally specified deep dish front spoiler the Ferrari looks superb. Included is a history file that contains old sales receipts, restoration invoices, various miscellaneous bills, service and Mot records, the original Ferrari wallet with two maintenance booklets, copies of the original Ferrari order form and specification sheet, and its current Mot test certificate valid until July 2026. Additionally, there is a job card related to its recent maintenance and major service, which included cambelts, costing a total of £2, 276, along with the current UK registration document. With over £10, 000 in maintenance invoices included in the history file and the model celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, this 308 GTS is poised and ready to be enjoyed by its new owner.
