Description
For sale: a 1961 DS19 Comfort with hydraulic box, 75 HP engine, equipped with a centrifugal regulator, ashtray wings, registered on a collectors’ Carte Grise in my name. It has the LHS as original but uses castor oil and DOT.
The car is fully dismantled, everything has been redone.
New champagne-colour paint with a gloss black roof.
Engine rebuilt, it has only run for about 6 hours to bed in.
All hydraulic parts are new.
Four new tyres.
Fully new interior: mats, carpet, linoleum.
New boot trim.
Chassis fully treated with anti-corrosion protection; it is like new from the factory, no hacks or black epoxy to hide issues.
I have a complete restoration file.
It is complete and just needs to be reassembled due to lack of time and family issues. To facilitate transport, it is fitted with the four special tools in place of the spheres.
The car was stored outside under a cover and, unfortunately, rust has oxidised the paint on the hydraulic components and iron parts.
What remains to do:
- Refit the four door panels
- Refit the headlight loom in the front wings as they are missing
- Refit the dashboard
- Refit the windscreen
- Refit the front and rear bumpers
- Fit the stainless steel exhaust
To redo:
- Paint the wheels
It is a lovely project for a handsome model that has become very rare; I hope a enthusiast can finish this project.
It is a sought-after model, but mindful of the rebuild work, I am leaving it at 18, 000 Euros firm and non-negotiable, given the new parts and the condition. I should note that it is complete, just needs reassembly.
