Sales information
The life of this beautiful Jaguar E-type Series III V-12 Roadster begins with its first delivery on December 27, 1974, in Dallas, USA. The first owner owned the beautiful convertible for a full 20 years and sold it in 1994 to the second owner from Scotland. Numerous invoices and documents indicate he also used it extensively at his other home in France. In 2000, the third, Dutch owner followed, and in 2015, the fourth, also Dutch, owner. This man is a good friend of ours and owns several Jaguars. He asked us to sell the E-type after he had first thoroughly finalized the details. This was done in close consultation and largely carried out by a leading Jaguar specialist and private mechanic for one of the largest Jaguar collectors.
Thanks to its dry USA origins, the E-type's bodywork was in perfect condition, with no rust or traces of previous panel repairs! So they still exist, the original classics! However, the paintwork was due for a professional refinish. Numerous photos document this process, which resulted in a fantastic outcome.
The suspension was also overhauled, and the entire engine was thoroughly inspected and, where necessary, fitted with new gaskets, seals, belts, filters, and oils. The carburetors were also completely overhauled. In retrospect, such a thorough engine inspection may have been unnecessary, but if you want 100% certainty, as the owner wanted, you still have to disassemble and inspect a few things. This is all the more satisfying for us as the seller, as we can now deliver the car with peace of mind, knowing that everything is in good order.
To illustrate how meticulously everything was carried out: for example, the third owner recently installed a new soft top, but the fourth owner wasn't impressed with the finish and had it replaced by the best specialist in the Netherlands. The roof, however, is now incredibly beautiful, with excellent fit and made of the finest mohair.
All work was carried out with a single goal: to pass the E-type on to the next enthusiast in the best possible way, allowing them to enjoy it carefree for many years to come. We are delighted to be able to take care of this, as a car of this caliber doesn't come along very often. When everything is meticulously documented from new, all owners are known, the car is in absolute top condition in terms of both appearance and mechanics, and we are talking about one of the most iconic cars in British automotive history, a true enthusiast will undoubtedly appreciate this and know how to find it. Rijssen to find.
