Originaly sold new to the USA in december 1958 this car ended up in Europe a few years ago. A Frenchmen bought it back then and imported into France where it then underwent a body off restoration. This restoration was taken to very high standards and some modifications were done at that same time. Original deliverd to a New York Dealership in cream exterior colour over biscuit interior, the Frenchmen had the car resprained in a period correct red colour. The biscuit interior choice has been preserved. A new black mohair softtop, with softtop cover was also fitted at that time. Regarding the condition of the car, the pictures speaks for themselves! Technically the car underwent a full rebuild and at that time, the original automatic gearbox was replaced by a 5 speed manual gearbox. The brakes have been upgrated with a master brake servo and suspension have been taken care of. A set of adjustable spaxs shock absorbers were fitted for better handling. 3 SU carburettors with short ram pipes gives the right mixture and sound to the twin cam engine. A stainless steel exhaust finishes it all. To keep this all cool an aluminum radiator with additional Kenlow fan has been placed. The car runs and drives perfectly and handles extremely well in all circumstances. Wheter you would like to cruise around or enter a rally. On the interior part of the car, the leather interior looks very good and has always been taken good care of. The dashboard is fitted with their original Smith dials and are all working well. All chromes are good. The chroom wheels are fitted with new Vredestein Sprint classic tyres in size 205/ 70-15. Further, the car has been fitted with a chroom luggage rack, Lucas driving lights, new wiring loom, chrome spare wheel, etc. The car is currently still registered in France and comes with its Jagaur Heritage trust certificate.
