Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II James Young LWB ( SCT100)
Presentado en Tudor Grey metallic over Georgian silver with gold fine lines complemented with light beige soft leather and carpets. Electric windows, Electric devision. This Silver Cloud II was ordered new from Jack Barclay Rolls Royce for the Chairman of Heritable Bank Ltd, Scotlands oldest bank in July 1961. He had the Silver Cloud built to his precise specification by Rolls Royce exclusive coach builder James Young Ltd and delivered to their Barclay Square office 9 months later in the Spring of 1962. The cost was just under £10000, a standard Silver Cloud II was £4300, so this was an extremely special all aluminium bodied Rolls Royce and only 19 were built.
They retained this special bodied Rolls Royce for 13 years yet only covered 22k miles. She was sold by Jack Barclay in 1975 to the second owner an American gentleman living in London who subsequently took her home to the US where she remained in his private collection for 35 years. Before returning to the UK and became the personal vehicle within the collection of a highly regarded historic car restorer and specialist.
This extremely rare very low mileage and low ownership Silver Cloud II we have driven some considerable distance and she performed correctly, with the feel of a crisp low mileage vehicle that has never been neglected or fallen in to the wrong type of owners hands.
The very extensive history portfolio includes the original order from Rolls Royce when new. The original hand books and owners manuals including the James Young book. and extensive maintenance history including over £23000 of recent works.
The vehicle qualifies for historic tax and MOT exemption but is mot tested and has a full V5c Log book too.
