History and provenance documented
This 1968 FIAT Dino Spider 2000 represents one of the most fascinating examples of the historic FIAT–Ferrari collaboration, created to enable Ferrari to homologate the famous V6 “Dino” engine for use in Formula 2.
The specimen in question was originally registered in Ancona in 1968, then re-registered in Modena in 1984, still retaining its original black plates and the period driving licence, elements of great historic and collecting value that certify its authenticity and continuity through time.
Subsequently the car changed hands in 1987 and again in 1988.
Since 2005 it has belonged to a meticulous collector, who states that he has always kept it with utmost care, subjecting it to constant maintenance, including a full engine overhaul and the entire mechanical overhaul, carried out conservatively and with respect for originality.
After that work, the car has covered around 4, 000 km, confirming extremely limited and careful use.
Based on the kilometres covered in the last twenty years and what the previous owner attested, the indicated mileage of 69, 081 km is deemed plausibly original.
Unfortunately, due to its advanced age, the current owner has been forced to reluctantly put it up for sale.
Condition and originality
The car is presented in completely original condition, exactly as it left the factory.
Interiors, seats, dashboard, chromework, roof and all details are those of a first‑equipment model, a feature increasingly rare to find on this model.
