This Mercedes / 8 was ordered new in 1976 by a member of the Bundestag and used as a second car in Rhineland-Palatinate until 1986.
From 1986 to 2008 it stood in a dry, heated vehicle hall.
In 2008/ 09 the 230. 4 was rediscovered by a master automotive technician and restored to roadworthy condition.
For the last 15 years the car was part of a superb collection of originally preserved Mercedes models. There it remained continuously registered, was regularly driven, and every two years subjected to the TÜV inspection.
