Description
1949 Morgan 4/ 4 Tourer. Green with black interior. Introduced in 1937, the 4/ 4 was Morgan's first 4-wheel car. A year later, a specially prepared sports version fitted with an engine from Coventry Climax took part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and successfully qualified for the Biennial Cup. A special Standard 1, 267cc overhead-valve four-cylinder engine was introduced during the 1939 season alongside a new 2+2 drophead coupé, and would continue to power the 4/ 4 up to 1950.
