Sales information
Built from January 1989 to March 1999, the BMW 8 Series is a very impressive car. The 840Ci is the successor to the 12-cylinder 850, but once you have driven this powerful eight-cylinder, you quickly forget its predecessor. With a torque of no less than 400 Nm, this engine offers enormous smoothness and effortless power delivery. The engine is coupled to a fantastic-shifting 6-speed manual gearbox that perfectly matches the character of the car.
The result is a pure Gran Turismo: built with the high quality we have come to expect from BMW and featuring a unique and timeless design. A car that is already special, but will undoubtedly grow into a true future classic within the BMW range.
This BMW 840 Ci (which were built from January 1993 to March 1996) was delivered to its first owner in France on March 22, 1994. The car remained there until 2015, with all maintenance during those years carried out at the same dealer. Subsequently, the car stayed in Belgium until 2020, after which a Dutchman living in Monaco took it to the small principality. There, too, the 840 Ci proved to be the perfect travel car: a great Gran Turismo for making the occasional drive from Monaco to the Netherlands – and then, of course, quickly back to the Mediterranean.
However, with multiple cars in the Monegasque stable, a bit of a space arose, and so this special BMW is now shining brightly in our showroom. The mileage is only 113. 392 km and the car is in truly sublime condition.
The unique Barbados Green color, combined with the two-tone green leather “Individual” interior, makes this car even more exclusive and attractive to collectors. And naturally, the delightful 6-speed manual transmission cannot go unmentioned: a perfect combination of sportiness and comfort.
As mentioned, the mechanics are excellently maintained and in perfect working order. With its beautiful condition, distinctive color scheme, iconic design, and relatively low production number, this BMW 840 Ci deserves a true enthusiast as its new owner.
