Description
A true British style icon, the Lotus Esprit silhouette has been with us since 1976 and became infamous in the James Bond film ‘the Spy who Loved Me’. The original design still catches the eye as does the rest of the evolutionary Esprit models. Our Esprit Turbo example featuring the Dellorto carburettored Turbo engine, are highly prized retaining the purity of the Turbo power unit.
With just 17509 recorded miles, this Lotus is a rare find.
The owner’s handbook reveals the car was supplied by P J Smith Ltd of Derby to its first owner, who exported the car to Jersey.
The car was repatriated to the UK in 2021 and has been registered with NOVA and will be supplied with a V5 in the name of the next owner.
In 2016, Paul Keens of Jersey (Sports & Supercar specialists) recommissioned the car, and there is a comprehensive invoice for the works, which amounted to £11, 000
In March 2026, the cam belt was renewed, together with a full service, which included the renewing of coolant hoses.
