Body / Exterior:
The model shown here is a January 1970 JAGUAR Type E 4. 2 Cabriolet in its original « Golden Sand » colour.
It is in excellent presentation condition, with a deep, even hue and excellent shine.
After a professional polish performed by our workshop, we noted a few tiny specks under the clear coat in various places on the body.
We also noted a slight misalignment of the bonnet on the driver’s side and a small paint chip on the bonnet edge on the left.
The bumpers are perfectly aligned and free of denting or rubbing marks.
The rear right bumper appears very slightly scratched on its upper part.
The rear light bezels show minor micro cracks.
The mohair hood in colour « Blue » is in excellent condition and the rear screen mica is perfectly translucent.
The hood cover in mohair colour « Black » is also in excellent condition.
We noted a misalignment of the hood frame with the driver and passenger windows.
This example is fitted with tinted windows.
The 4 chrome 15’’ wire wheels are in excellent condition, with no signs of impact, deformation or oxidation.
The chrome knock-offs are also in excellent condition.
The car is fitted with VREDESTEIN tyres.
These show less than 10% wear at front and rear.
This example comes with its spare wheel (painted wire-wheel style) and its hammer and jack.

Interior:
The interior is original (matching colour / (JAGUAR Heritage Trust)
Leather upholstery in colour « Dark Blue » has been restored a few years ago to its original colour and remains in excellent condition.
The door cards in dark blue faux leather are also in excellent condition.
The driver and passenger seat backs have a small scratch, probably caused by the hood mechanism.
The original dashboard is in excellent condition with no cracks or discolouration.
The dashboard cap in black faux leather is also in very good condition.
The central armrest in blue faux leather has been restored and is in excellent condition.
The entire SMITHS instrument cluster functions perfectly, except for the original clock.
The original 3‑spoke wooden JAGUAR steering wheel is in good condition; it shows two small nicks.
The bakelite gear lever knob has a patina of use.
We note the absence of the plastic cover under the steering column.
The K7 AUDIOVOX radio and the period air conditioning have been retained for aesthetic reasons but are no longer functional.
This model is fitted with aviation-type safety belts in colour « Blue ».
The blue carpets are in very good condition.

Chassis:
Lifting onto the ramp confirms a healthy chassis and shell with no visible structural corrosion.
Fundamentals: body, floors, Eiffel-tower chassis, sills, wing roots, wheel arches and longitudinals are in good condition.
Servicing reserve: as a rule we cannot guarantee perfect alignment beyond their good visual and road-test condition.
We noted a very slight deformation under the “Eiffel tower” engine cradle on the driver’s side, with no impact on structure or road handling.
During the dynamic test, no abnormal rattles were detected from the body or suspension components (ball joints, bushings...).
Front brake discs wear is under 10% and rear under 20%.
Front and rear brake pads wear under 50%.
Roadworthy test will validate overall functioning.

Engine / Transmission:
This example is “matching” and has its original engine block (JAGUAR Heritage Trust).
The mechanics run perfectly.
Compression tests and road test performed by our workshop confirm a healthy 6‑cylinder engine.
Starting is easy, with no smoke or unusual noises.
Oil pressure cold is 40 psi at 700 rpm.
In motion the engine revs smoothly without snags or overheating.
Idle is stable and the engine does not overheat.
The 6‑cylinder tuned note is enhanced by an stainless steel exhaust system.
The 4 gears of the manual gearbox shift smoothly with no issues, especially when syncing.
Clutch grip is good.
As is common with classic engines, engine/ gearbox seal integrity is average.
