Initially built as a classic, single-cylinder 'utility' motorcycle, the shaft-driven BMW R35 was powered by a 342cc OHV single-cylinder in a pressed-steel frame with telescopic forks, and was a particularly advanced design for the era
Many were pressed into military service, as this bike, as shown by the Waffenamt Code stamped into the engine
This, barn-find, bike was imported into the UK in 2003 and was last running some 20 odd years ago prior to being put into storage
Now emerged from its 20-year slumber, it remains very original and complete and is an ideal candidate for restoration or recommissioning
Supplied with paperwork from 2003 regarding the sale/ export of the bike and there is a very clear manufacturers plate and engine stamp confirming it as matching numbers and manufactured in 1938 should the buyer wish to register it for road use. Please note the buyer will need to acquire a NOVA number before being able to register the vehicle in the UK
