Description

A superb 750 GT with sand-cast crankcases.

Frame number 7502xx, engine number 7502xx, matching according to the Ducati Bevelheaven registry.

This is one of the rare motorcycles with sand-cast crankcases from the first series of 400 units, of which few have survived in good condition. It features unique parts and details specific to this early GT series, such as the round cavities in the oil crankcase, initially intended for footrest mounts.

The sand-cast crankcases, tougher, were used on racing bikes that won the famous Imola race in 1972, and the sand-cast 750 GTs are among the most sought-after Ducati L-twins.

This 750 GT has been fully restored, including the mechanicals, a few years ago in Germany, and is in excellent condition.

It has been ridden regularly and with care since.

It retains its original Borrani wheels and Conti silencers, which is rare more than 50 years after its manufacture.

The original Amal carburettors are included, in addition to the Dellorto PHF32s.

A detailed expert report is available.

The history of this 750 GT is perfectly documented: manufacture and homologation in 1971, first registration in June 1972 in Italy, followed by two owners in Germany before the current owner.

It is now registered in Belgium as a classic vehicle, holds a valid technical inspection certificate, has been fully serviced and is stored in a locked garage.

Visible in Brussels, Belgium.
