Work started with the engine and running gear being removed from the body with all panels being made good or replaced prior to a bare metal respray. Attention then passed to the mechanical overhaul including fully rebuilding the A series engine which was bored out 1375cc. Fitted with performance parts from Swiftune, MED, Weber and ARP. New pistons, fully balanced crankshaft, 11 stud head built to fast road specification (proven 100bhp engine output). This included a Swiftune billet road camshaft, MED lightweight flywheel, upgraded competition clutch, Weber 45 DCOE carburettor. The gearbox was rebuilt with straight cut gears, along with an uprated MED helical limited slip differential. Other notable works included overhauling the braking and suspension system, fitting a roll cage, Maiflow exhaust system, Classic racing seats with Willans harnesses, Momo steering wheel, Bespoke interior carpet set and 10” Ultralight Mini wheels with Yokohama Advance HF tyres.
