An elegant and increasingly sought-after classic, this 1971 Mercedes-Benz 250 CE (W114) pillarless coupé presents a rare opportunity to acquire one of Mercedes-Benz’s most beautifully styled grand tourers of the era. Recently purchased by ourselves, the vehicle has undergone a mechanical inspection and recommissioning programme and now drives extremely well, delivering the smooth and refined motoring experience for which the W114 coupé range is so highly regarded. The pillarless design remains one of the standout features of these elegant coupés, giving the car its unmistakable profile and sophisticated presence.
The interior is in superb condition throughout, presenting exceptionally well for its age. The upholstery shows no rips or tears, the dashboard is free from cracks, and the leather remains in excellent order. The headlining is also in outstanding condition, making for a particularly smart and comfortable cabin. Overall, the interior is in very good condition indeed and a testament to the car’s careful preservation.
The odometer is currently indicating approximately 25, 000 miles, however this mileage cannot be warranted due to the age of the vehicle and lack of supporting documentation.
Externally, the vehicle is currently at a specialist classic car restoration facility that we use regularly, where several areas of bodywork requiring attention are being professionally addressed.
