Fast Fords weren’t limited to just the Sierra and ******; the Granada got in on the action too. Cosworth engineers took the 2. 9-litre Cologne engine and made it even more impressive, taking it to around 195bhp. The Ford Scorpio was the executive car produced by Ford Germany from 1985 to 1998. It replaced the European Ford Granada line and like its predecessor, was aimed at the executive market. The basic floorpan was unchanged. However, the front and rear wings, bumpers, boot lid, bonnet and rear quarter-lights were redesigned. Suspension was uprated with the addition of front radius arms attached to the front hub carrier while the rear suspension was redesigned with new trailing arms, and an anti-roll bar mounted on the subframe.
Subject to a full service and new belts in May of this year, this First Generation Scorpio was supplied new to Jersey. Consequently it has covered just c. 58, 100 miles from new. First UK registered in 2023, it benefits from an uprated stereo and rear parking sensors.
