Introduced in 1985, the Uno Turbo i. e. transformed Fiat's sensible European supermini into a genuine performance car, combining compact dimensions and low weight with a turbocharged 1. 3-litre engine producing around 105bhp
Weighing little more than 900kg, the Turbo i. e. offered an impressive power-to-weight ratio and was capable of 0-62mph in around 8. 3 seconds, making it a seriously quick car by mid-1980s standards
The MK1 Uno Turbo is now regarded as one of the more interesting survivors from the 1980s hot hatch boom. Its digital dashboard, boost gauge, red detailing, sports seats and distinctive Cromodora alloy wheels give the cabin and exterior an unmistakably period character
Offered here is a truly outstanding example finished in white with the characteristic black and red interior, retaining its original-style digital instrumentation and desirable 13-inch Cromodora alloy wheels
Indicating just over 73, 000 miles at the time of cataloguing, this noteworthy Uno is accompanied by a remarkable history file including its original book pack and service book, stamped up to date
The history file is further supported by numerous maintenance invoices, ownership records and historic MOT Certificates, providing an unusually comprehensive record of the car's life and supporting its excellent provenance
The most recent recorded service was carried out in May 2026 at 72, 778 miles, including replacement of the oil, oil filter, radiator, water pump and associated hoses. The online MOT history also provides further evidence of careful long-term ownership
With online data indicating that just 112 examples remain registered in the UK, surviving MK1 Uno Turbo i. e. examples are becoming increasingly difficult to find, particularly in this condition and with such comprehensive history
A wonderful slice of 1980s Italian hot hatch nostalgia, this beautifully preserved Uno Turbo i. e. offers an increasingly rare opportunity to experience one of the era's most charismatic alternatives to the established GTI heroes
