This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Iconic Motorcycle Sale at the NEC Classic Motor Show 2026 on Sunday the 15th of November, NEC, Birmingham, B40 1NT.
Designed by Lino Tonti and introduced in 1971, based on the V7 Roadster but lighter with a new frame and clip-on bars
Allegedly the fastest production bike of the time until the Kawasaki Z1 was launched in 1972
Sporty 'Café Racer' looks and good performance made the V7 Sport a great success for Moto Guzzi with various celebrity owners including Mike Hailwood
The model was later replaced by the 850 Le Mans
This early example is presented in good original condition and is in running order
Fitted with the very desirable 220mm double-sided twin leading-shoe front drum brake
Same owner for last 10 years
Subject to a light cosmetic restoration in Italy before being imported in 2017
