L'Atelier des 1000 is delighted to offer for sale this Maserati Biturbo Si, presented in an elegant two-tone Nero and Soft Grey Metallizzato livery, paired with a beige leather interior. Introduced in the late 1980s, the Maserati Biturbo Si represents one of the most refined evolutions of the first generation Biturbo from the De Tomaso era. Produced in only 1, 097 examples and retaining the understated elegance designed by Pierangelo Andreani, it benefits from numerous mechanical improvements as well as an evolution of its twin-turbocharged fuel-injected V6 engine, offering a more assertive character whilst maintaining the comfort inherent to great Italian grand tourers. Built in the Modena workshops in 1988, our example has passed through the decades with elegance. Its owner now entrusts us to accompany it through its sale. This example presents in good overall condition. It has been preserved in its original configuration and notably possesses the distinctive elements of the Si version, such as the four-piece OZ Racing two-tone alloy wheels, front fog lights and NACA air intakes on the bonnet. Mechanically, the 18-valve twin-turbocharged fuel-injected V6 starts easily, without any extraneous noise or smoke. Its operation is smooth. The engine pulls cleanly through the rev range and produces a characterful raspy note, typical of 90-degree open V6s. The reversed-gate gearbox engages and locks its ratios correctly, whilst the clutch performs its role perfectly without showing any signs of wear. The running gear is in good condition and offers sound, balanced road behaviour. The braking is powerful and perfectly balanced. The wheels are in fine condition and are shod with new Vredestein tyres. The two-tone paintwork presents a fine overall appearance. There are some minor traces of time and use, consistent with the vehicle's age. Hella long-range headlights have been fitted at the front. Inside, the original trim is well preserved, displaying a light patina. It combines leather and suede on the outer sections of the seats. The seats offer good support and show no tears. The wood trim displays a charming patina, whilst the dashboard is in perfect presentable condition. Given the condition and configuration of this Maserati, we are asking €17, 990.
