The Ford ****** RS Cosworth is a sporty version of the Ford ****** (Mark V), designed to a high standard as a Group A car for the World Rally Championship. It was on the market between 1993 and 1998. The street version was designed in 1992 and produced in a limited run in 1996.
The car was developed based on the chassis and mechanics of the Sierra RS Cosworth, with the larger Cosworth engine and transmission installed in the body, while the body panels were taken from the ******. The 2-liter turbocharged engine was mounted at the front and produced 226 hp in the street version. Group A rally versions officially produced 300 hp, and in some rallies even 400 hp.
